BBA BUSINESS ADMINISTRATION

NYENRODE NEW BUSINESS SCHOOL (2015-2019)

After obtaining my Dutch VWO high school diploma, I enrolled in the Nyenrode New Business School, where I studied Global Entrepreneurship and Business. Through this program, I became an informed and practical student of Business & Entrepreneurship.

This experience gave me a comprehensive understanding of the world from an economic, capitalist-oriented perspective. One that I would later bring into question.

BA BUSINESS ADMINISTRATION

UNIVERSITY OF WESTMINSTER (2018-2019)

As part of my academic curriculum at Nyenrode New Business School, I completed a semester abroad at the University of Westminster in London. This allowed me to receive my second degree as part of the double degree program with NNBS.

My time in London broadened my perspective on living in a global city. During those six months, I had the opportunity to immerse myself in a diverse environment, which I look back on with great joy.

PRE-MASTER HISTORY

UNIVERSITY OF AMSTERDAM (2021-2022)

In 2021, I enrolled in the History pre-master’s program at the University of Amsterdam to pursue my passion for history. This decision was a risky one since it involved quitting my job, which was seen as foolish by some.

However, throughout this one-year program, I transitioned from an overly analytical to a more holistic way of thinking. Which would serve me well in the future.

MS HISTORY AND INTERNATIONAL RELATIONS

UNIVERSITY OF AMSTERDAM (2022-2025)

After finishing my pre-master, I was accepted into the History of International Relations master’s program, where I acquired a comprehensive understanding of the historical forces and actors that shape international relations and conflicts.

Thanks to this wonderful program, I was able to develop the necessary knowledge and skills to pursue a career in humanitarian aid.

University of Amsterdam

Attending the University of Amsterdam marked a significant milestone in my life. Although I was initially pushed onto a different path, my profound interest in history has been part of me since high school, and in 2021, I was finally able to pursue it.

The University of Amsterdam provided an inspiring and inviting environment that allowed me to delve into historical research and develop a fresh perspective. My experience there has been immensely fulfilling, reinforcing my enthusiasm for uncovering the past and its impact on the present.

Work Experience

CO-FOUNDER

HOUT INTERIOR (2017-2019)

HOUT Interior was a Dutch start-up that designed and produced handmade interior product lines. Our goal was to create sustainable and affordable office and living furniture that we could produce locally in our workshop in Rotterdam.

Although the project never came beyond some initial sales of our first product, the process of setting up a business, dealing with legalities, and overcoming challenges provided us with valuable lessons.

ACCOUNT MANAGER

FREELANCEFACTORING (2019-2020)

After obtaining my business degree, I followed the path that was expected of me, and I sought full-time employment so that I could buy a house and start a family at some point.

This lead me to become an account manager at FreelanceFactoring/o2Factoring, where I focused on delivering factoring solutions for entrepreneurs and freelancers. Every entrepreneur’s position is different, which made the job both diverse and dynamic.

MARKETING TEAM MEMBER

FREELANCEFACTORING & NUNIA (2020-2023)

Even though I enjoyed the experience of assisting my clients, I soon figured out that Sales was never what I wanted to do in life. Therefore, I asked to be transferred to the marketing team, where I knew my creative skills would come to fruition.

During my time here, I was privileged to participate in several high-quality projects, including creating a television commercial, producing instructional videos, and developing a new brand identity for Nunia.

IT INSTRUCTOR

BETTER DAYS  (01/012024-31/06/2024)

Fast-forward to 2024. My life had transitioned towards becoming involved in Humanitarian Aid as a volunteer teacher for refugees in Athens. After working for free for the Habibi Center, I was given an exciting opportunity to design and deliver an IT curriculum at Gekko Kids (part of Better Days NGO).

Guiding young people in mastering the fundamentals of information technology has been an immensely fulfilling journey. I have had the pleasure of witnessing their evolving capacity to engage with the broader world. This line of work is a source of joy and fulfillment for me.

MARKETING TEAM MEMBER

MR. FILL  (2024-PRESENT)

Aside from volunteering, I needed to find a way to sustain myself financially while living in Athens. I was lucky enough to find remote employment with Mr. Fill, as it enables me to volunteer while channeling my enthusiasm for marketing and branding.

Mr. Fill’s mission spoke to me, and the company atmosphere aligns with my ideals. At Mr. Fill, I improve the brand image, boost the online presence, produce graphic designs, and refine web services and online infrastructure.

MARKETING MANAGER

ATHENS CITY TOURS (2024-PRESENT)

Besides my other commitments, I like to take on freelance projects I care about. As a result, I crafted a refined digital presence for Athens City Tours, a boutique agency specializing in personalized experiences in Athens. Their branding highlights the agency’s emphasis on history, culture, and respectful tourism.

As the Marketing Manager, I oversaw the development of an intuitive website featuring an integrated booking system and real-time calendar synchronization. Additionally, I established a cohesive brand identity that underscores elegance and authenticity while executing an SEO-focused strategy to enhance visibility and drive bookings.

FREELANCE WEBDESIGNER

IRREGULAR SERVICES  (2021-PRESENT)

While at Uni, I started Irregular Services to take on web development and branding gigs offered by people in my network. I have always been interested in projects that combine my analytical and technical experience with creativity and passion.

Over the years, I have helped many clients develop a new identity, become more visible, and facilitated technical services such as booking systems and web shops.

Athens City Tours

As the Marketing Manager of Athens City Tours, I had the privilege of crafting a refined digital presence for a company that dares to be different. Designing both the website and branding was a rewarding experience, as it allowed me to reflect the company’s commitment to preserving Athens’ cultural heritage while offering guests something truly unique.

In a world where mass tourism often overwhelms historic cities, Athens City Tours curates thoughtful, personal experiences. Our tours focus on off-the-beaten-path locations, allowing travelers to engage with the city more meaningfully. By prioritizing authenticity and respect for Athens’ rich history, we aim to create experiences that are not just memorable but also sustainable.

Volunteering

FUNDRAISER

ROUND TABLE INDIA (2017)

This project was a component of the ‘Freedom Through Education’ fundraising program at Nyenrode New Business School. Our objective was to raise a substantial amount of funds through self-initiative to aid in the construction of educational facilities in India. As part of the initiative, our team visited Calcutta to witness firsthand how the funds were allocated.

KITCHEN CLERK

GAARKEUKEN ROTTEDAM (2021-2022)

Volunteering at the Gaarkeuken Rotterdam proved to be one of the most fulfilling experiences of my life. Serving as a local Soup Kitchen, it provides meals for the residents of a decommissioned retirement home, which is now home to former drug addicts. It was eye-opening to understand a different segment of society than I was accustomed to. Contributing to my local community was a gratifying experience that taught me valuable life lessons.

ALLROUND VOLUNTEER

UKRAINIAN DIASPORA ROTTERDAM (2022)

After the Russian invasion of Ukraine, I was motivated to help alleviate the escalating humanitarian crisis. I contacted the Ukrainian organization in The Netherlands, also known as the Diaspora, to offer my support.

I worked with the Rotterdam department and helped collect, sort, and distribute emergency supplies, including two trips to Poland with my own van to get crucial supplies to where they were needed.

ENGLISH & IT TEACHER

HABIBI CENTER (2023-present)

In 2023, I had the privilege of teaching IT courses at the Habibi Center. Following that enriching experience, I was given an exciting opportunity to design and deliver a similar curriculum at Gekko Kids at the start of 2024.

Guiding young people in mastering the fundamentals of information technology has been an immensely fulfilling journey. I have had the pleasure of witnessing their evolving capacity to engage with the broader world. This line of work is a personal source of joy and fulfillment for me.

Round Table India

As part of the Freedom Through Education initiative at Nyenrode New Business School, I was able to join a fundraising effort to support educational development in India. Our team worked independently to raise substantial funds, contributing to constructing new learning facilities for underprivileged communities.

The experience culminated in a visit to Calcutta, where we witnessed firsthand how these funds were being allocated. Meeting students and educators in person reinforced the transformative power of education and deepened my understanding of global inequality and sustainable change.
